Jaggies are weird. They're the only raptor-like species (Velociprey, Baggi, etc) with gender dymorphism (to look different based on gender, ala Rathian/Rathalos). They have a distinct female "class" called Jaggia. Great "Drome" raptors are pack leaders and male, with gender presumably split amongst their "lesser" packmates. This is true of ALL the raptor species. Except Jaggies. WHY?

  • well baggi has sleep and wroggi has poison. to make up for the lack of sts, they gave jaggi both body types of underlings. the gender thing probably came after that initial decision. btw, other than the obvious raths' genders, diablos are male while black blos are female.

  • probably to increase the threat of the species. jaggi are pathetic compared to wroggi and baggi. Jaggia at least are a mild threat

  • If jaggias are stronger than jaggis, and great jaggi is alpha jaggi, that means alpha jaggia is GREATER JAGGI
