Newbie Question: Because of all the group status boosters, is the hunting horn more of a support weapon for online play? Is it worth pursuing in singleplayer?

  • Hunting Horn's playstyle makes it an interesting Hammer alternative in singleplayer, in my opinion. In multiplayer, I'm pretty sure it's better to play Hunting Horn as "impact weapon that happens to have group support effects". When you swing around your weapon before playing a song, the swings can do damage.

  • I prefer to think of it as a hammer alternative. No super pound, but you have buffs and a longer range with it. It's a weapon before an instrument, in my eyes.

  • Even for all its range its still noticeably weaker than a hammer or most bladed weapons. You are going to have to work a bit harder for those kills and hr1-5 is pretty rough since song selection is rare, inf stam doesnt really affect you and attuL song only appears in Grank. Its totally doable, just harder.
