I'm not sure what it is but i'm horrible playing on my new HD TV and good when i play on my standard. Its like the sensitivity is outta wack or something when i look on the TV but when i look on my gamepad theres no issues and my aim and soldier move the same. I guess i'll use my Stardard to play my Wii U and my HD for Ps4 when i get it but for now i guess it'll be good to watch HD movies on

  • some hd tv's have some input lagg, i think that might be the case, though most hd tv's have a function which works better for gaming and decrease that input lagg.

  • @Mae The Lagg must be serious on my TV. My movements weren't registering correct at all

  • you need to put it into "game mode", its input lag. hd tvs have processors, with a game thats displayed in 1080p, and fast paced movements such as COD, then the processor spends too much time rendering the image. in game mode the image quality may be slightly reduced, but its still way better than a standard crt tube-type tv, and you wont suffer with the input lag. hope this helps.

  • btw, the older tvs dont have nearly any input lag as they've got no processor, so if your crt is nice, large screen, etc theres no reason you cant use it, but you wont be able to display in 16:9 nor will you be able to use the pad as a dual display.

  • also, if you are wanting to check and see what your tvs input lag actually is, google "input lag hd tv" and you should be able to find a site that has all hd tv displays input lag specs available, i forget the name of the site though its been over a year since i used it.

@ BobbyMcgee I also play with my pad as a Dual Display

  • what i meant was if its not in 16:9, then the pads display wont work. you probably dont get to use all available screen space running 16:9, so if you dont use dual screen 4:3 may be better. question, do you use a hdmi cable, or component/av out?

  • wiiu and ps4 both display ghost natively at 1080p, xbone is 720p upscaled, so yes, sadly it will be the same with a ps4. if you ever want to learn about native resolutions a COD wii/wiiu player has a pretty detailed vid on displays on his youtube channel. his nnid is pwnsweet, thats his channel also. its a 19min vid but extremely informative, very easy to understand too.

@BobbyMcgee I'll check him out and i use the component cables

  • you should definitely use the hdmi cable. my old wii has the 5 component cables, the gold plated connecters, and that was ok cause wii could only hit 480 progressively using those, but wiiu with hdmi is full 1080p. you really need to use hdmi, that may be adding to your issue.

  • pwnsweet is also one of the best wiimoters ive ever seen, somehow the guy can pump cancel with ksg/remy and youd swear on your life he was somehow using full autos, i still cant for the life of me understand how he does it.

  • @BobbyMcgee U can't use HDMI cables on my Stardard. It plays and looks just fine on my standard but when i use the HDMI cable on my HD TV thats where the problems occur. Alot of Wiimoters are good so i'm not surprised.
