In melee they had Dr mario and Pichu as clone characters. In smash brothers 4 they had Dr mario,Dark pit,Toon link and the female marth. See the pattern?

    I don't think people consider Toon Link a clone because he's been in enough of his own games to stand out.

    Toon link is a clone character. How many games he's been in doesn't matter. He has the Same moveset as someone else.
