My goodness, guys. Have we really gotten to the point where game developers cannot freely make a game however they want? If the Smash Brothers team wants to make a game how they want, we should let them. It it their game after all.

    That's the worst excuse you could've found, If a company makes a bad game, wouldn't it be stupid not to criticize it because they make it "how they want" ? C'mon, smash is a fanservice game, and its dev team may be one of the least "fan-listening" ones. There are ton of problems that were discovered by pro players, sakurai simply didn't listen to them.

    It still doesn't mean that we get to force them to make whatever we want. It's still their game. We're doing exactly what a government without a free press is doing. I would still buy their games because Smash Brothers is still awesome. I think many other people would buy their games too. Sure it may hurt their sales, but at least they would be happy with what they made. There's a fine line though

    Yes. I mean that there is a fine line between doing what you like and doing what would make something approachable to others; however, if there is not a balance between the two, there is failure on both sides.

    @TJ @Simon @CHA0SPHERE Those are good points and I see what you guys mean. However, can we agree that sometimes, the fans can be way too critical, though? Some people can go as far as to say the game is terrible because it has characters that they don't want.
