For having my 3DS since December 2011, the L and R buttons still work fine. I am proud of them, withstanding the abuse of the buttons in both Kid Icarus Uprising and Super Smash Bros. 4.

  • Posts like these give me so much hope. My 3DS is fairly new and I often worry that playing SSB3DS would cause it to break the circle pad like its happening to other people. But if you had yours for so long and its still fine then mine should be too if I continue to treat it well.

  • My L button pretty much gave out after Uprising... I hope my XL doesn't give out after Smash...

  • My L button is getting a little worn out, but knowing that I've played TONS of games on it, I'm pretty proud.

The only thing that is worn out is the rubber on my circle pad, that was worn off because of Uprising. But the circle pad is still working so I'm not mad.

  • I've only played Pokemon X and SSB3DS, so I guess my 3DS is safe for now.

Yeah my 3DS is pretty old. Hope your 3DS holds up Jonathan. I even dropped mine several times during the years and it's still working top condition.

  • @Jaden, thank you pal. I want my 3DS to last as long as my GBA and my DS lite, which I've had for 12 years and 7 respectively.
