well those are item cards they show you were things are for weapons and heart pieces and containers. Once you find it using serch you play the level and unlock it
see how this tree is now sparkling? Thats because I used the compas (which shows you the where the item is) since this one is a tree you use the candle to burn it
Well this is Adventure mode, which is different from legend mode (which is story mode)
As you can see in the top left corner it says if I get A rank I get a level two staff for Lana
