    I just looked it up on wikipedia. with the mii fighter there are 49 characters

    there is 49 characters 59 too 62 if you count the 7 koopalings that's bowser jr's costumes alph whose four of olimar's costumes the female robin the male wii fit trainer and the three individual mii fighters
