This is a very fun, old school styled JRPG. It's definitely in the spirit of Lunar, Shining Force, and even Golden Sun. Even in HD+ mode, it still captures a Sega Genesis RPG vibe. I love new RPGs but old school style will always hold a special place in my heart and ignite my imagination ;D

    I don't have the experience that you've had with games, but I'm enjoying it too, and finding it reminiscent of Breath of Fire. Love getting back to turn-based combat, which actually seems like a great loss with more recent games.
