Well, it's not glowing NOW. Also, Link freaks out when it starts to glow. Whenever he learns a new song, it sparkles and glows and he looks at it like it's possessed, which it very well may be. Glowing ocarinas are NOT natural, even if they were thrown half a mile into a moat by an unnaturally strong princess with magical telepathic powers.
