Question

Ok, after you get older and get the hookshot, Sheik says you need to save Saria. Navi says to go to the place she always goes to. I go there and Sheik teaches me a song, but Saria isn't there. What do I do?

    Near the stump where you were expecting Saria to be is an entrance above you. You'll see the ruins of a staircase but you can't reach that high. That's where you need to use the hookshot
