    Well, Melee had a Pokemon fighter who seemed to draw more from the anime (I know it says Pichu damages itself when it uses electric attacks in its Pokedex entry, but when is that ever seen in the games?!).

    @Ryan Cannon, as in, follows suit with the prestablished continuity. For example Smash bros is not cannon the all the series' represented(Unless you consider the nintendoverse theory true), Zelda is cannon to mario because of TLOZ: links awakening[DX], the sonic comics are not cannon because they came after the games, the pokemon anime is not cannon because it doesn't follow the games, ETC, ETC.

    to be honest i think these new trophys are more based on sakurai and his staff's personal view on said trophy. there not like reading an index of each trophy anymore
