No. Just... No. Whenever Link talked, it was NEVER a good thing. "I'm so hungry, I could eat an Octorok!" "How about a kiss, for luck?" And probably the most well-known of all... "Well, excuuuuuuse me, princess!"

Now the thing is though is that Link is supposted to be a surrogate to your own voice & that Link is "silent" so you can make it up, I never thought that silence was perfect. That's why I actually think that dialogue trees are awesome, since you aren't stuck with one voice & have to deal with it throughout the game. So yes, that may sound strange at first, I'll elaborate on this.

If you talking about the only Zelda with Link talking, that one wasn't made by Nintendo

Nintendo's never been into listening to what hardcore players want unless those players can make ideas on how not only they but everybody can benefit on and be innovative. But though it's good to be able to make up what Link says in the game, I don't think most zelda fans know that some people can't, or need help. I think that dialouge trees could be better implemented to show what you want said.

The fate of Hyrule is in danger of destruction, first thing you say "I wonder what's for dinner!"

& Hate my idea for being way too different or way too strange-sounding, but I also have an idea to it too. I'm thinking that as much fun as it would be too choose what Link would say in-game, I think it would be even better to choose HOW Link could say it, so I'd like to choose what kind of emotions Link could use while speaking to help express yourself into making something actually happen.

No offense to the guy who suggested Hylian, but that could just feel cheap & get annoying for some and wouldn't really feel like actual voice-acting for most people who'll play the game. It does sound pretty neat though.

The actual truth is Link isn't really mute, though.

Him talking would be an interesting change, but would really kind of draw away from the concept of 'Link', you know?

They only problem would be that the Zelda gamers would be split in half. With even a tiny change like that people would like or hate his voice. People would complain he talked to much or didint talk at all. and allways remember that haters are gonna hate.

all in all it would probably not be the best choice. link was ment to be not a not talking person. don't know why they wanted to make it that way that link does not say words and you were intended to put them in. Nintendo has there reasons why. as much as i think it would be cool if he talked might not be the best choice.

I would rather see them do Hylian language, more than 25 years of a Link whos slient theirs really no point for him to speak.
