I think at the end of the video, specifically when Chrom said "Maybe I'll get in another day..." was a reference to the Gematsu leaks, which said that Shulk, Chrom, and the Chorus Trio were going to get in.

Yeah, Chrom did get a chance in Smash, but as either Robin or Lucina's Final Smash or an Assist Trophy. Either way, he isn't playable, so the Gematsu leak is now proven false.
