Impressions

First off, I have to say that Robin looks like a spectacular fit for Smash, and it's good to have another unique character rather than a mere swordsman. Too bad it seems that Chrom will only be a part of Robin's final smash. Though it may be disappointing, it's definitely better than nothing.. But, I hate to be that guy and all, Lucina looks EXACTLY like a Marth clone. More below..

    From all that we saw of her; from specials to standard attacks, to even how she stands, she looks identical to Marth. I hope there's significance difference between the two. Perhaps Marth's moveset is now something new and Lucina got the old one? I'd hate for her to be in the game just for more female characters, they've been doing that right so far..

    Completely agree, though I think they should've just cut Marth and Ike for Chrom, Lucina, and Robin. As well they should change up Lucina's moveset anyway so even if they removed Marth she wouldn't just be the "next Marth".

    I think we can all agree on one thing, though: That epic Falcon action was a great treat. Good to see the Cap get officially announced in such a rad way. END OF THOUGHTS.

    I dunno. Marth's been FE's main rep in the Smash franchise, like Ness or Pikachu. Ike is more of a heavy power type, so unless Chrom would be similar it makes sense to keep him. That being said I totally understand why Chrom isn't playable. Either Sakurai wasn't interested in another blue haired FE protagonist, or they couldn't have thought of anything unique.

    WAIT I ALSO WANTED TO BRING UP that with the lack of legitimate Chrom, was Gematsu just a lucky guess (8/11 is REAAALLY LUCKY..) or did the guy make some mistakes? Being said, there's still a solid chance of Shulk getting in, (his moveset has lots of potential) and the Chorus boys aren't really that farfetched, but what does this mean?? I don't even know how to feel about that..

    Marth is FE's face, but Awakening saved the franchise. That makes Chrom deserve a shot at least. And Chrom would probably be a little lighter than Ike, but still heavier than Marth. As for the leak, I don't even know how you'd guess Wii Fit Trainer and get right, so I think there is some legitimacy behind it. AND SHULK BETTER GET IN Because of monodo as you are right. It has so much potential.

    That's a fair argument. Awakening didn't really "save" the franchise but it really brought FE to light and gave it the western audience it deserves. A lot of potential and Xenoblade was received real well on the east AND west. He at least better be a assist trophy.

    I guess if Shulk is an assist trophy, then I'm happy he is in the game, but that is still unacceptable. He is one of the most requested character in Japan and America. And Awakening did save the series. Depending on how Awakening performed, they weren't going to make another Fire Emblem... ever.
