Nintendo logic: You can accept Friend Requests from strangers and video chat with them, but you can't share your PSN name because that information is totally personal and unacceptable.

  • Or maybe because Nintendo doesn't want to sponsor their competitors?

  • How is that sponsoring them? You may find this hard to believe, but many people play both Sony and Nintendo systems. And sharing your PSN name won't eradicate the Wii U from existence. What's the big deal if you share it?

  • I take back what I said..sort of. It's the same deal as friend codes. A friend request is entitled to your opinion - whether you want to accept it or not. People under 13 aren't allowed to use them, though. That's the catch. Friend Codes aren't always private, and can be tossed around to a bunch of strangers.

  • But both people have to register one another to become friends. It doesn't matter if you have my code. If I don't register yours, then we aren't friends. It's asinine for the admins to delete friend codes.

  • EXCEPT they can make an alternate account and trick you into thinking they're someone else. Overall, Nintendo will probably make a future update on the 3DS replacing friend codes with friend requests as it's simpler.

  • No...no one would ever go to that effort. You're trying to hard.

  • Nintendo banned a Sony dev on here once just because he worked on the PS4.

  • @Anthony Or so he claims.

    Yeahs0
  • @Anthony Shuhei Yoshida? They banned him for his profile having his twitter handle.
