why do i keep getting stalemates!? any helpful tips?

  • I assume you mean stalemating you opponent (being stalemated is usually something of a victory, usually from an inferior position)? You need to pay attention to your opponent's position, and make sure they always have a legal move to make until you are in position to checkmate. If you trap their king where he isn't in check, but moving the king will be check, and nothing else to move, stalemate.

  • thanks paul i am somewhat of a beginner but that tip helps. ill try it in one of my future games. (p.s- wasnt a stalemate once considered a full victory?

  • I believe a stalemate is always considered a draw (tie), which is why the superior position should be careful to avoid such a position.

  • Grab a chicken a hurry up and give to Sonic so he can run so fast that the chicken will just have to Chicken-up and beat up the opposing team. ;)
