something ive noticed from watching the xy english dub is that even though the voice acting is decent at best, the quality always seems to drop during battle scenes

    They dim the scene so the special effects don't trigger epilepsy in children. They got kinda wary after the 'Electric Soldier Porygon!' episode which put almost 800 children in hospital due to epilieptic seizures.
