    Amen buddy... The overworld map is one of my favorite parts about classic jrpgs. The best modern example of a huge explorable world is Xenoblade. Otherwise, jrpgs have become very linear and run you through a bunch of tunnels.

    Xenoblade Chronicles is the wii game. It was the best game of last generation period and one of my favorites of all time. Xenoblade Chronicles X is what Monolith Soft's X's official name became. That'll be on WiiU in 2015... most anticipated game by far!! Get Xenoblade if you never played it!!

    Also, if you like classic-style jrpgs with the overworld map and are turn based and require some griding. Get Arc Rise Fantasia on the Wii. Voice acting is TERRIBLE but it is old-school and has a great story. HIghly recommended.

    I'm getting all nostalgic here, I remember a friend of mine introduced me to Suikoden, after that Konami has been one of my favorite game makers. I wish Konami would release more games on Wii U.

    that's cool i always wanted to play suikoden especially suikoden 2 to me if there is one reason to get a ps3 is too download suikoden 1 and 2 on the psn which i hope konami could re-release suikoden 2 on the psn which i heard nothing but positive things about suikoden 2 over the years espillaly the podcast from ign's youtube channel

    and what really imprssed me the most of suikoden 1 and 2 is the beautiful,epic and incredibly catchy which quite simply you cant go wrong with the soundtracks that the konami composers write from gradius to silent hill and beyond to me they know how to make or break a game and to me the soundtracks of suikoden 1 and 2 made those games memorible
