Why do people say the motion controls in Skyward Sword suck? What, do they want to wiggle their wrist around like they did in Twilight Princess instead of actually using their arms like in Skyward Sword? There are three explanations. 1. They played the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess, and don't know what bad motion control actually is. 2. They're lazy. 3. They want to wiggle their wrist.

  • I love Skyward Sword, the motion controls were great! I loved slicing my sword at an angle to find the enemy weak spot...

  • I wouldn't say TP motion controls are bad. They're better than Wii Sports Tennis, which is pretty good for a GC port.

  • TP's controls are "Wiggle your wrist!" I haven't played TP in a while, or Wii Sports, either, so I might be exaggerating. Actually, no, I'm not. That's exactly what TP's Wii controls were,

  • The nunchuk was either move back & forth, or push forward. That's 3 movements. Yes, SS had better controls, but it also had the Wii Motion Plus, so this isn't a fair comparison. You can't compare a GC port to a motion enhancing device. TP had better motion controls than many other Wii games.

  • And even with Motion Plus the controls were horrible... There was a number of occasions I actually had to stand up and swing my arm in an extra dramatical way to get the needed swordswinging right. Not to mention all the times I had to pause to recalibrate the frigging remote. All this despite using the golden remote an a new sensorbar... Skyward Sword is the only Zelda I'll never play again.

  • Sry, but I found it tiring. Yeah, it's cool at first, the idea you're actually slicing as Link..But the novelty quick wore off. :-/ One of the reasons I didn't warm to SS..I plan to give it another chance, tho, before summer's over.. Hope I don't dislocate my shoulder. xP

  • hadn't any problems with the controlls at all and i didn't have to swing my arms around like someone who's drowning, just sit there, chill and doing it all in a shake of the wrist ;) give it a try, its a relly great game, one of my favorite zeldas <3

  • My God...atlas someone mention this.It just baffle me,how much hate Skyward sword received.Motion isn't perfect,but it's not fatal issue,like everybody cry about!It's good game. В игре есть всё,чтобы она приносила удовольствие и радость.Я уверен,что недовольные и хейтеры размахивали,без остановки,рукой — "dUuuUh,it tOo HaRD,let's type some filth about how game,motion controls is bad".
