    Simply because Sonic and Mario are 2 completely different games

    different.... but both started as 2d sidescrollers... and 3D was a lot more friendly to Mario. Some games just didn't transition well to 3D. (megaman, castlevania). stick with what works.

    Sonic is not in a Megaman/Castlevania catorgory because it has transitioned well into 3D. The games just aren't consistantly good as Mario or Zelda. Sonic has been Hit or Miss since Sonic Heroes.

    you dont think its in the game category because megaman and castlevania didnt beat a dead horse. we've seen far to many mediocre sonic games. the series needs a refresh

    Last 2 Sonic games are good so things are moving in the right direction with Sonic Team.
