Breeding Q: How do you breed for HAs when the pokemon doesn't have it? Just luck?

    You can't. One of the parents must have the Hidden Ability for the baby to have it. It's called HIDDEN Ability for a reason.

    For the best chances, the mother HAS to have the HA, if the father has the HA, the only way to pass it down is by breeding with dittos.

    Females have a 50% chance of passing down a hidden ability. Males have a 50% chance of passing a hidden ability ONLY when breeding with Ditto. The parent must have the hidden ability, of course.

    If the parent(s)don't have their HA then it won't get passed down. You need the pokemon with the HA before you can pass it down to the offspring.

    Just to correct what Garbage said, females actually have a 60% chance of passing down a Hidden Ability and males have a 20% chance when breeding with a Ditto.
