Quick question - is hyrule warriors the new wii u zelda game thats supposed to be released in 2014? I thought the new wii u zelda game was supposed to have intense dungeons and what not? Any comments?

No. In the Nintendo Direct, Iwata says that this is not the "big" 2014 Zelda game.

No, it's developed by Tecmo Koei Games as a spin-off. Next installment in the main series is being developed by the usual team at Nintendo. More info on that game will be released at E3 this year.
