You use any design that you have in your design tab, select the one that you want to use and select,: place on ground.

You can also use QR codes with the QR machine after unlocking it for any designs that you can scan.

talk to the Able sister @ the sewing machine every day- eventually she'll warm up to you and it will unlock. just takes time.

You talk to sable,: animal at dress at sable and mabels, for 7-10 or more days in a roll. Then after talking to her for 7-10 or more days you will unlock the QR code machine.

but yeah- the sidewalks people make are just designs displayed on the ground. flowers wont grow there, i think, and i knownyou can't get fossils under them.
