    I don't agree. The games are of the same type of fighter but work differently. Furthermore SSB wasn't even the first of it's type of fighting game and there have been many others.

    Complete rip off is a huge stretch. Sony took inspiration from smash and added some new ideas (super moves and combos)

    I do feel there were some pretty nifty things PSALBR did. The cross-over stages were a cool idea as well as gaining new things like alternative intros and costumes by using a character a lot.

    As well as victory music from the characters games, not just remixes of classic Nintendo music like brawl.
