  • This game is FINAL FANTASY III. It was released by SQUARESOFT for Famicom on 1990.04.27. It was never translated and sold outside of Japan in its original 8-bit form. It was released as a remake...

  • .. for DS in 2006 and a few other machines afterward. But it has NEVER been playable in 2-D in English, sad to say. The original price was ¥8400 and sold about 1.4 million copies!

  • FF3 continued the early tradition of odd numbered FF games having customizable characters, where as even numbered games featured set characters which were intergral to the story...

  • So if you ever noticed FF 1,3 and 5 you could have a party of all knights or mages if you wanted. but 2,4 and 6 had characters with set powers that were hard to modify. Interesting!

    Yeahs0
  • Though the Famicom was still going strong in 1990, its power had mostly been maxed out (7 years after release) and FF3 shows it with some of the best graphics and music in 8-bit!

  • ..I still stand by that Kirby's Adventure is the most technically advanced 8-bit game ever, but thats beside the point

  • Though you can play the 3D version rather easily, the outlook for a 2D Wii U VC release of FF3 is practically zero. Oh well.....

    Yeahs0
  • as a side not, since I am just too busy on Wednesdays to post anymore, I will now do it on the weekend after each release.

  • Next week: "Mario can golf? And, things get tough in River City!" 次回予告:熱血硬派くにおくん!マリオオープンゴルフ!お楽しみに!! We'll see you there! That is all for this posts information....海外翻訳情報を伝え致しました。Talk about FF3 below!

  • Its interesting to see how the class system has evolved with each game. (I, III, and V) Based on the demo it feels like Bravely Default is actually FFV's successor.

I have the DS version of Final Fantasy 3. It's pretty good. It's a shame that Final Fantasy 1-6 were never released on their original consoles (NES/SNES) here in Europe.

@Pale: I have Bravely Default (bought it on launch day) and it really feels like a classic Final Fantasy game. Have you also played Bravely Default, Ken?

Oh. It's a very good RPG on the 3DS. The only better RPG on the 3DS in my opinion is Tales of the Abyss. I like the 'Tales of' series better than the Final Fantasy series. Which series do you prefer?

    Yeahs0
  • I never played any tales games too. So final fantasy by default!

    Yeahs0
  • FF 3 was released on the PSP in 2012 and the Ouya in HD.

    Yeahs0
  • There's also an Iphone and Android version of FF3

    Yeahs0
  • those don't count because!
