Mostly they come off as cheep. It feels like the writes didn't know what to do with the Reapers or with Sheperd so they pull something out o thier @%% for the first and randomly kill off the second.

In my opinion, the endings could've been handled better but adheres to their theme of finding resolution in the organic/synthetic conflict.

Major examples in ME regarding Destroy include Prothean's Metacon war, Quarian-Geth depending on how Shepard handled the conflict.

only if Shepard could not broker peace between Quarians and Geth. How feasible each ending is depends on your playthrough and what you think of it. BioWare just failed at hammering that home...

Pretty sure they wanted Shepard to ascend as Godlike... ala Matrix. I think they really preferred Synthesis as the proper ending.
