Smogon is very influential in the Pokémon community with many people treating their rules as the absolute truth. They're clearly powerful, perhaps even overpowered. I motion Smogon be banned.

    Smogon came around 2005 which is around two years after I started playing competitively and people were already using those terms way back in 2003 and such.

    Smogon adopted the community tier lists that were already in place and eventually made them their own version of it as they expanded on it.

    Back when I played, there was only Uber, OU, BL and UU with uber only having the pokemon Nintendo banned +Wobbuffet/Wynaut. Now there's all of those plus 3-4 more tiers that didnt exist years ago

    People mostly battled on Netbattle and another battle simulator that I can't remember the name of that existed before that. Usage tiers were around but they weren't seen as important then

    They were battling against was a noob, Their team sucks, etc. because they used OU or UU pokémon on their team. What does OU, UU, etc. even mean? And this is possibly why I can't really get into...

    battling competitively because when I think one of my pokémon has good stats, it doesn't have good enough stats competitively even with super training. What ever happened to battling for fun, no bans?
