Down B. Genesect would prepare his canon and fire a Signal Beam. This attack is a sinister ray that can confuse opponents. It takes a moment to fire and is slow, but causes short shieldbreak effect.

Genesects Air attacks would be based off his ground A attacks with small variations, so we'll move on to taunts.

Up Taunt. Genesect would face the screen, glow red and make his battle cry via the games.

Side Taunts. Genesect poses as the 4 drives circle around him, flowing with energy.

Down Taunt. Genesect uses Magnet Rise. This is a special taunt with a secret ability similar to how Luigi has a secret attack within his taunt. Magnet Rise gives immunity to "ground" type attacks.

Down Taunt cont. Magnet Rise gives an immunity to Ground type attacks for 5 turns in the Pokémon games but this could be a fun secret ability within Smash.

Alrighty, now for the Final Smash. I had a neat idea that maybe Genesect could summon all the Type Drives and launch a wicked Techno Blast of the five types: Normal, Fire, Water, Electric and Ice.

This of course would be like a Spirit bomb sized attack and come down on the stage damaging any opponents in the blast radius til the final explosion takes place having extreme knockback power.

Now that's about it for the Genesect moveset itself. Now just a few details. He would be a heavy character considering he's part steel but he'd still be semi-quick on the ground and powerful too.

Genesect's balance for weight, power and decent ground speed is getting moves to connect properly. He has a lot of charge time and strategic attacks to wield the best results. A high learning curve.

I feel that Genesect could be an amazing character and this is just my take on what he could do. Feel free to comment and share your ideas below! Thanks guys!

Wow. Amazing ideas, really. But I think those varied Techno Blast attacks should have varying effects: normal as the weakest but fastest to launch, Fire would ignite and make enemy take slow damage...

...for few seconds, electric stuns opponents and water -biggest knockback? I dunno. Anyway great job!

@Sebek. That's exactly what would happen with the Techno Blast. I figured people would know it had different effects for the type changes.

Yes, I love it. That Final Smash sounds especially cool. And I've always liked the idea of taunts with some sort of gimmicky functionality, so that Magnet Rise is a plus too.

This is an incredibly detailed explanation of his move-set. Really well done and I love the idea for his B move. The Up B was also very well balanced out.

Thanks! I've also done a Ghirahim moveset just as detailed if you'd wanna give your thoughts. I know you don't want him in the game but i'm looking for opinions and ideas.
