I'm going to start putting down ideas for a multiplayer mode in an LoZ game. If you don't wanna hear it, just ignore this. If you're open-minded to the idea, leave a comment to listen.

  • well i m all for a huge LOZ multiplayer in somehing resembling world of warcraft. that would rock very hard!

    Yeahs0
  • why only horses lol giant birds and boars etc.

    Yeahs0
  • In addition to competitive modes, there could also be co-op modes, as well. Simpler example: A horde mode. layers would team up, using their unique gear to fight increasingly tough waves of enemies.

  • Again, tougher-built characters would probably be able to kill enemies more easily, but net fewer points. While smaller characters would have more of a challenge, their rewards are greater.

  • And for those of you who feel that all this talk of combat doesn't sound very "LoZ," I give you: co-op DUNGEON MODE! :D

    Yeahs0
  • DUNGEON MODE restricts the items and (if need be) races that players can use, foring them to use their wits and cunning to navigate the trials of a customized dungeon using their available tools.

    Yeahs0
  • In addition, DUNGEON CREATOR, allowing players to build their own custom dungeons, and set their own restrictions for party sizes, items and races, then share them online for others to play!

    Yeahs0
  • That's all I got for now. What do you guys think? (There are probably plenty of comments already, but if it wasn't apparent, I haven't stopped to check them since I started typing. Sorry ^_^;)

  • @Jackson: Perhaps, but I'm trying to think of a multiplayer mode for ANY LoZ, spinoff or otherwise. I'm trying to think of something that would give long-lasting replay value even after the main quest

  • @itskidd & IloveSKA: Mounts could probably be implemented, though it may be awkward trying to alternate between steering and attacking in the middle of a fight.

    Yeahs0
  • Oh, one more thing I forgot. Multiplayer items and customizations would rely directly on your main single-player quest. You would have access to all the items Link's unlocked in your main game, (-->)

    Yeahs0
  • Have you played the multiplayer in Metroid Prime 2?

    Yeahs0
  • and customization items could be bought at shops in the main game's towns. This would be so that single-player mode still remains the biggest focus of the game, with multiplayer just being extra fun.

    Yeahs0
  • @Jackyson: Indeed I have XD! I always wondered, did they include an online feature when they re-released it for Metroid Prime Collection?

    Yeahs0
  • I never got the Prime collection. The only Prime game I'm missing is 2. I borrowed it from a friend a long time ago. It was broken but fun.

    Yeahs0
  • here we are talking about metroid in a LoZ conversation xD

    Yeahs0
  • Hm... I like the idea!

    Yeahs0
  • Thanks, Britt :)
