I think it's funny how some "fans" like one title of the series so much, they even hate anything besides this title and prefer playing unofficial modifications over REAL games.

  • You can't claim that anything you don't like needs to be fixed. Maybe it's not even broken but just doesn't appeal to you.

But if something doesn't appeal to you then you FIX IT, and Sakurai's fixing what he personally didn't like, Brawls gameplay.

  • No problem, Ashley. I agree for a good amount with you, but some things still just bug me the wrong way.

  • Just as I said: Brawl expanded Melee's gameplay but changed it quite a bit. It's ok if you just prefer the other title that's not the problem.

  • Also, I applaud any approach saying "Ok, that wasn't what we expected, let's try to offer the experience we wanted." Creating something you like is admirable.

  • But you need to do this in a friendly and modest way, not by saying "We're fixing this game", thus implying it was broken and supposed to be different.

  • I approve fan projects like Super Smash Flash, but that's entirely different than a mod in this case.

    Yeahs0
  • With a mod, it's not creating what you want to offer for people with a different opinion. It's changing what's already there, implying a different message.

  • I'm back. Beef, and Ashley, you both make excellent points on your views. I agree with aspects from both of your comments. Smash should not be a split community. We should embrace our love of Smash.
