    I've read that as long as you break its beard, and you don't die 3 times (duh), you´ll repel him... I've never had any troubles... (I used the rathian SA, but found better results with the undertaker)

    You have to break the beard in order to get him to go to area 3, then you have to fight him there until he either dies or runs after the 30 minutes are up. You have to hurt him enough for him to run.

    Phase 1 you have to break the beard or else he will escape. Phase 2, you have to break the horn and do enough damage. If time runs out on phase 2, restarting will have him wait in area 3 still.
