    She's 18 in the U.S. (or Bravely Second) version. In the initial Japanese release, the age gap between Ringabel and Edea was much wider.

    I learned in my animation history class that the standards for an acceptable relationship are different than in the U.S., which is why some characters in the game tend to come off really creepy.

    Though, to be fair, even in the Japanese Bravely Default: The Second, Edea is 18 and I believe Ringabel is a bit younger.

    In the initial Japanese version, I'm pretty sure Ringabel was 18, and Edea was 15; in the US, Edea's 18 and Ringabel's 21. The age gap's the same, but I agree, it's still a bit creepy.
