I hate these scenes. Especially with Agnes. Voice actress uses ridiculous falsetto voice and the character is written poorly. She's like Yuna from FFX or the girl from Tales of Symphonia. Blech.

    She's seems poorly written until you beat the game; the her whole character makes sense. She's easily the closest to human in the crew imo.

    ...Didn't I just say she SEEMS poorly written until you beat the game? Things don't make sense and you're lead to think a certain way until certain events occur that change your beliefs.

    That's a primary motif of the game. She bothered me at first, but as the game went along and stuff happened, she got less annoying and her character continued to grow more reasonable.

    I hated her for the first what...3 chapters? 4? But then at some point, she started acting normal. The issues I had with her character either went away or became less of an issue/factor.

    She became more likable and/or tolerable. That's what I'm talking about. imo, she becomes a better written character later on in the game. She's a dynamic character, even if she is a bit flat.

    Poorly written is poorly written. Her personality may change but that doesn't justify poor writing. It seems more like you're talking about personality than the writing.

    Yes, I'm talking about that terrible script that the awful voice actress has to read. Don't care for her personality much either, since it's been done before. Not an original bone in her body.

    Good thing the game is such a blast to play. This is a 5-star game when it comes to the visuals and gameplay. But the writing and characters are typical modern JRPG rubbish.
