    This looks like a special case. The Rebuff Locket will block DeRosa's cologne attack, but Edea is scripted to start that fight Charmed because of the plot. This shouldn't happen anywhere else in-game.

    Basically, an item like the Rebuff Locket prevents moves from inflicting the matching ailment, but they don't cure it if you enter the fight already suffering from it. That's how this happened.
