    Nintendo made Luigi for 2P games when arcades and such were big, this was TWO years after Mario made his debut in 1981. Luigi didn't ruin anything then, and he's not doing any harm now.

    Luigi is a shy, clumsy, big-hearted man. He doesn't go in head first into battle like Mario. They both need each other, they both balance each other's characters out. Luigi is awesome :)
