    If you can do the steal the fishing rod glitch, then go to the past and back to the future, it will appear as if you are using to shields.

    To steal the fishing rod, first make sure you have either of the boots and bombs. After you pay to fish (as an adult), go to the item screen and switch your hover boots with your bombs (equipped to X and Y). Then, as you exit the item menu, press the bomb button at just the right time. It may take some time, but if you do it right, you will bring out a bomb. Quickly place the bomb behind you and…

    cast the rod. Press the L button until you can see Link. You can then leave with the fishing rod. Be careful not to press B, because doing so will cause link to make the casting motion, and the game will freeze. If this happens, simply reset the game.

    I didn't steal the fishing rod for this though I'm actually using a deku stick as adult through a glitch called RBA. Also you normally have to steal the fishing rod for RBA but there was a new glitch found that allows you to dupe a bottle over your B button through any water source on n64. In this version you need to go into death hole mode for the same glitch to work.
