I wish I still had mine (the rule was I had to get rid of the NES and SNES if I wanted an N64 and Playstation). I've considered going out and finding one, but if I'm going to do it, maybevI should get a famicom.

Yeah, sadly, but my first gaming experience was the original Gameboy, & Super Mario Land & Pokemon Yellow, as well as the Pac-Man arcade machine, that was a huge part of my gaming as a kid, so many quarters lost to Clyde the ghost ;o;

hmm, in all honesty, I say just get a NES the top-loader NES to be exact, cause while the Famicom is awesome in design, it having both controllers wired into the console makes it terrible to play with, especially since the cords for the Famicon controllers aren't even half the length of a NES controllers cord. Though the Famicom has the disk drive. Either way, your call man ^^

Ah, I never even knew about the top loader until recently, but it's a much better design. I do like the sound effects better on the Famicom, but that's about it (that, and save files in Metroid). Having to deal with the whole FDS thing seems like a pain too. What game did you get for your NES, btw?

Oh yeah? I guess that shouldn't be surprising. If I recall, the movie was partially produced in Japan (I think Miyazaki even had his hand in it at one point) and had a big release over there, so it's not surprising a Japanese developer would make the game. Glad you're enjoying it!
