Besides me being mini, how come the A.I.'s are throwing these items behind them like Peach with a mushroom, Yoshi an egg etc.?

Instead of computers getting items they have their own item they always use. For example Mario and Luigi can use a star whenever they want.

Mario and Luigi use invincibility stars all they want. (Lucky) Peach and Toad use Poison Mushrooms to make you small. Like you are right now. Bowser uses fireballs. DK Jr. uses bananas. And Koopa Troopa uses green shells. #TheMoreYouKnow
