Sorry to ruin your night, but Goku will never be in Smash. EVER. Sakurai stated that the only 3rd party characters he'll add are legendary video game characters, icons like Sonic and Pac-Man. Goku originated in anime and manga. Even though there are Dragon Ball Z games, they aren't notorious enough for Sakurai to add Goku or anyone else from DBZ. Also I think he'd be a bit too OP.

Not really "Legendary Video Game characters", however its implied that they have to be popular. However, the actual thing sakurai said is they have to ORIGINATE from video games and must have been on a nintendo console atleast once. So thats why characters like Goku and Master Chief are obscure.
