Don't see why people think that an incarnation of Link as a female is implausible. It clear says the "spirit" of the hero is reborn. That doesn't mean it HAS to be a male. A female can fit the requirements too. Thought people knew better.

my overall point is that if it wouldn't change anything, then why make link a girl? and if does change anything, then it would probably change for the worse.but overall, as long as there isn't inappropriate,i would maybe accept a girl link IF there was one in a zelda game.but id much prefer a different form of change to link.sorry about my ranting!

Like I said before, the overall plot would remain the same. Meaning changes would be minor to suit the character. It would still be the same gameplay exploring, defeating evil, solving puzzles etc. Like I stated before, it's the hero's spirit that is reincarnated. His gender could be a male or female.

could be, heck, anything could be, with miyamoto and aunoma's approval!but if your just talking mainly about the idea that it is possible that link could be like that, then i get were your coming from. but i think its for the best if the creaters of zelda scrap that idea if they ever considered it.

If it doesn't change anything then what's the problem? And the sexist thing is easy, just keep Team Ninja as far away as possible.

The developers. Miyamoto or his successor in creating Zelda titles, Aonuma. They are the ones who would know what to do.

but would female link just be zelda rescuing link from a new evil force?

Hidalgo, not a problem, us Zelda fans are a passionate fan base. haha. By saying that by making Link a girl "it wouldn't change anything" you actually supported what I meant to convey. Link's gender wouldn't matter in the overall scope of the game. It would still be the amazing series we all love and enjoy.

Rolldo, I wouldn't know. I'm pretty sure it would follow most Zelda plots. Land in danger, evil on the rise, Link goes rescue, maybe 2 worlds, Etc.

Rolldo what?? No 'link' will still play the part 'link' always has, and same with 'zelda'. just 'link' is a girl now.

exactly, for the best, nothing would change, so why would link be a girl? thats just my simple question that you have chosen to not answer directly. but if link being a girl truly wouldn't change anything then well, good. im glad we agree in some way. i just personally want to see link in a different age category or something.i guess im the olny one who would like to see a really old link, huh? XD

Hidalgo, that question cannot be answered directly. So I gave you the answer in the form that explained that it wouldn't change much so the gender change wouldn't be impossible. Answer me this. If Lara Croft from Tomb Raider were a male, how would it play out differently? hm? What would be the need of her to be a male in that series? Give me a forward answer and I will concede.

"why would link be a girl?" again why the heck not? why would Link be a boy?

there wouldn't be a need for her to be a male. shes a female she should stay that way. idk if this is direct. ive never played tomb raider either so forgive me if im missing any key things that would counter me even more.but overall, if its different in a good way, i wont hate on it.but i would never request gender benders of characters, thats just weird to me.whatever, this is just my opinion.

Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. Still, Link's gender shouldn't matter in the overall scope of the Zelda series. That's my perspective on this subject.

A few months ago I would have flat out said NO, Link should always be male but I'm actually coming round to the idea of a female Link, it's definitely plausible. Gender doesnt matter in the overall scheme of things but, like most things, it simply comes down to player preference I guess. Maybe Link's gender should be a player's choice in future ...i dunno.

i say they should make a zelda game were you could choose if link was a girl or a boy. it would bring in more girl fans for zelda games. just saying my opinion
