    Man, the only thing I could do was shoot fire at him, continuously dodging HIS fireballs, until enough of mine got through to damage and kill him. There must've been four or five of this guy in this castle. I actually manage to sneak past one or two ofbthem unharmed; I'm still not sure how!

    You don't have to actually ever fight a single one of these if you're smart about using the spells. In one case, it means backtracking after using at least one invisibility on them to get the lightning.
