Never restrict yourself to only one weapon type. Try the other weapon types, get used to them and when you fail a quest with your main weapon type, you have other options that might work out. I used to use the Sword n Shield on every quest until Low Rank Rathian. I tried out Dual Blades then i beat her. And so on i picked up new weapon types, now i use the SnS, DB, LS, H, and L.

    If you dont know what SnS, DB, or LS mean here are the full words. SnS: Sword and Shield, DB: Dual Blades, LS: Longsword, H: Hammer, and L: Lance.

    Dual Blades are my calling! :D But I'm also pro with Longsword (Due to Tri) and I'm pretty good with both SnS and Switch Axe. I think switching up your weapon types is practical and keeps things interesting!

    Also my friend Xera is a Bowgun specialist. I've hunted with her numerous times and only seen her get carted once and it was a cheap 1 because of G rank Laggy in the water in flooded forest. Also my friend Kamai is a Hunting Horn Specialist. We make an almost unstoppable team

    I'm a hammer specialist, but I also use Switch Axe, dual swords, and long swords. I can use Sword and shield and Great sword as well but never do, mainly because I don't have any good ones.....
