Maddie: he took Luffy's straw hat and put it in bad shape. it may not look it, but that hat means a lot to Luffy. It was given to him by his childhood idol and friend, Red Haired Shanks. Red Haired Shanks is a close friend of Luffy. He even sacrificed his own arm just to save his life.
