Is it worth it for me to purchase both packs of DLC that have the new characters and tracks? I don't know...

    If you enjoy Mario Kart 8, then why not get it? It's a lot of content for the price, you get 16 new tracks, 8 new vehicles and 6 new characters + 8 coloured Yoshis and 8 coloured Shy Guys if you count those. The first DLC pack releases this November and the second one releases next year in May. Seems a bit silly to wait over half a year for a DLC pack, but maybe there's a reason behind that.

    I honestly don't care too much for the new characters, as they're all just clones except Link, Villager and Isabelle. I mostly bought them for more vehicles and especially for the new tracks.

    I didn't want to feel silly to be missing out, so I just went ahead and pre-ordered the DLCs a few days back. Hopefully the new (and retro) courses are worth the money, at least.

    the draw for me are the new tracks. 16 tracks is a huge amount of content, much better than waiting for a new mario kart just to play on the new tracks.

    $12 for 16 tracks PLUS characters and vehicles? If you like MK8 and want DLC to offer a great value, you HAVE to buy this. Show Nintendo that their consumer-friendly DLC strategy works before they give up and either stop making it or stoop to the competition's level!
