Horrendous: He's going to be here very soon.... we can't let him in here. I'm relying on you and your men... understood? Elite Shadow: Yes, Master.

Erik: Dangit... looks like they were already waiting for me... *sword reshapes into gloves* No time to dawdle I guess.

Erik: *drops down* Hey there. Shadow: What the-

*Erik smashes Shadow into wall* Shadow: No! Stop! Erik: Not a chance. *absorbs Shadow*

Erik: *taps shadow* Shadow: Huh? Erik: No hard feelings! *throws Shadow into water*

Erik: One more...? Fine with me. *approaches Shadow*

*Shadow removes mask, form flickers to Slash* Erik: *falls down* No... no!!!

1 week earlier.

Erik: Hungh! *does another pullup* Lindir: Getting ready? Erik: *does pullup* What makes you say that? Lindir: Heh... *smirks* we've all pushed ourselves this hard at one point or another. Join you?

Erik: *does pullup* Sure. Lindir: *crawls down* So it's finally begun. Erik: *puzzled* What do you mean? Lindir: You know, the prophecy states that when the Horrendous returns, he would convert the land to shadows. The Elven Woods are under attack from his Shadows. Things... things aren't very good right now.

Erik: How does he... convert the land to shadow? Lindir: It's almost like a virus. He sends out special shadows to attack and 'infect' others. Erik: Well... what happens to them? Lindir: They become... like him.

Elrond: Messagers from the Elven Woods just reported Galadriel and the survivors have taken refuge. We need to stop Horrendous's forces. You up to lead an attack? Erik: *looks up* Heck yeah.

That night.

Erik: So are the civillians all secure? Sentry: Yes, sir. Erik: Traps?

Sentry: Set and primed. We got the head start this time, huh? Erik: Guess so... but lets not get our hopes up just yet. Ready? Sentry: Yeah, yeah... I'll go rally up the elves.

(Later...) Sentry: Fellow elves, tonight we fight not just to reclaim our home, but for our lost brothers. Let your experiences guide you throught this attack, and even if it means running... survive. Erik: It cannot be emphasized enough. Now who's ready to kick some Shadow!?

Elves: Yeah!! For our brothers! Erik: Then let's go! *unsheathes sword*

15 minutes later.

Sentry: Everyone ready...? Elf Soldier: This is our best shot, trees are definitly our thing. Sentry: *puts fingers to lips*

Erik: *hears pounding of feet, thinks* They're coming... it's up to us.

Erik: *waves sword* Now!!

Shadow: If we fail today, Master Horrendous will punish us. So do not-!!

Erik: *jumps off tree* Hagh!! Elves: Let's do this!! *they all jump out*

*they all land on the shadows, fight breaks out*

*Sentry lashes out at a shadow*

*Elf kicks Shadow into tree* Elf: This is easy! Why were we worrying so much? Sentry: Cut it out man!

*Shadow gets up, approaches Elf from behind* Sentry: Behind you!! Elf: Wait, what?

*the Shadow's knife enters his chest* Sentry: Dangit, man!! *starts running towards him*

*Sentry runs and cuts the Shadow in half* Sentry: Scotty! *kneels next to fallen Elf*

Sentry: Scotty! Are you okay...? Fallen Elf: *skin starts turning dark and misty* Get out of here man.... go!! Sentry: Scotty!!

Elf Captain: They won't stay down sir!! They keep healing themselves! Erik: *mutters* There's got to be a source... *out loud* Captain, ready my horse. Elf Captain: Yes sir. *runs off*

A few minutes later... Erik: Alright, I'm gonna go around and see if I can find the enemy encampment. Make sure we cover all the entrances to the civilians' hiding spots. Elf Captain: Yes sir. We will anticipate your swift return.

Later... Erik: So much for sneaking in... *sword reshapes into gloves* Boss fight!

*Erik slams into the Orc knocking down several tents*

*Orc swings around and kicks Erik* Erik: Agh!! *gets up*

*Erik grabs the orc's leg and pulls up, it lands on it's back*

*Erik rapidly punches the orc in the face, it keels over* Erik: That sure didn't feel like a boss fight... *hears the clinking of armour* There we go.... *turns around*

Erik: *points at Shadow Commander* I'm here to cut you off. The source. Shadow: *jumps towards Leo*

Erik: *grabs hammer pole, pulls it towards him* You don't need this man... Shadow: *falls over*

*Shadow gets up* Erik: Watch it man... *vaults over him and pulls off helmet, throws it aside* Don't need this either.

*starts walking toward Shadow* Erik: I think we're ready for a fair fight now! *holds fists up*

*Shadow swings blade at Erik, it grazes his shoulder*

*Erik punches Shadow in the face, grasps shoulder* Erik: I hate it when you guys do that!

*Shadow lunges at Erik, he sidesteps and kicks Shadow twice*

*Shadow pulls out knife and hacks away at Erik's left leg* Erik: Ah, bleeeep!! *glove morphs into sword, he lands it in the Shadow's head*

*he limps to the shore* Erik: Finally... we can... win...

*he collapses into the water*

*the fallen shadow shimmers and turns back into an Elf*

Elrond: "The battle's result was tragic, and, per say, Horrendous....

"... the brave Elf Warriors unknowingly massacred their own kind...

"... Lady Galadriel herself is personally overseeing the burial of each fallen Elf...

"... all I can do is sit in awe and regret for not forseeing this tragic event...

"... they're rehabilitating my leg, they fear I might never walk again...

"I'll be back in Rivendell as soon as I'm allowed. -Erik" *Elrond puts down letter*

2 weeks later.

Erik: I'm going for Horrendous. Elrond: You need time to get better. You can't. Erik: It's been two weeks! How much longer are we to wait? *stands up* People are suffering, Elrond.

Elrond: *sighs* It's your decision, Erik. We won't keep you from it. But we need to find a cure for the Shadow infection. Erik: How would we do that? What do we need? Elrond: Luckily, you have two of the three important materials for a cure. Erik: I do?

Elrond: Yes, when you came to us, you brought the essence of Shadows you absorbed. Erik: Umm... how do I give you that? Elrond: When the time comes my friend. *starts walking*

Erik: What about the other material? Elrond: Your weapon. It will be melted down and reforged with the last material for a greater weapon. Erik: Aw man, I liked my sword... Elrond: Trust me, you'll like the new one better. Erik: What do you mean? Have you seen it?

Elrond: *indistinct whisper* Once...

The next morning... Erik: *gets out of bed, yawns* Oh gosh. Today's the day.

Erik: *starts to walk towards doorway, winces in pain and falls over grasping leg* Agghh... every morning... *gets up and grabs sword, walks to doorway* Hey Cerulia! Cerulia: Morning Erik. Help you? Erik: Can you point me towards the East Guard Post? Cerulia: Yeah... should be 2 miles from the main crossroads. Erik: Thanks neighbor. *waves*

*Erik walks to the Guard Post* Erik: Hello? Is this where the briefing for... *expression turns sour* Oh great...

*Elros turns around* Elros: Hello brother. It's pleasant to- Erik: *pulls out sword* Shut up. I'm not your brother, and you very well know that. Why are you here?

Elros: *loads three arrows* You know what? *sighs* You're right. The gag is up. Now that your destiny has started, I can go back to hating you. As for why I'm here, I'm here to brief you on your assignment. Erik: Very well... go ahead.

Elros: *lowers bow* So the last material needed to reforge your blade is called the Snowy Amethyst. It can only be found at night. You keeping up? *looks at Erik, who's taking fake notes in the air* Erik: Uh, sure...

*Elros puts his hand to his head* Elros: Can you atleast try? We need to set aside our differences for the better of others. Erik: Fine...

*Erik puts sword away* Elros: So as I was saying, the Snowy Amethyst can only be found at night. It was left deep in the Mines of Moria by the ancient dwarves. You need to get in without alerting any orcs or goblins... think you got it? Erik: Uh.... yes. Elros: Wrong, you can't hold it without straining yourself because of the power it radiates.

Erik: No problem, I got my shadow gloves. Elros: Right... Elrond is arranging your ride at the moment. Go meet him later tonight. The darker, the better. The amethyst will be easier to see. Erik: Thanks Elros... Elros: You're welcome... brother.

The following night... Erik: *walks in* This it? Elrond: Yeah... here's your trip guide.

*Elf walks up to Erik* ???: I'm Nepteros. I'll be guiding you to the spot of interest and make sure we ain't followed. Think you can keep up? Erik: *blankly* How have I made it this far? Nepteros: Fair enough... let's go.

(Geez, is it just me or does this feel like a military campaign...)

*they start walking for an hour, Nepteros turns around and sees Erik holding his leg* Nepteros: You alright there, lad? Erik: *drops leg quickly* It's nothing... keep moving. Nepteros: Whatever you say, laddie...

Nepteros: Here we are... wait a minute. *stops suddenly* Dang... shadows. Ready to fight our ways in? Erik: Is there not a better way to do this...? Nepteros: Charge!! *starts running*

*Erik equips hammer* Erik: I hate my life... *runs after Nepteros*

*Nepteros runs and vaults over Shadow and smashes into him*

*he sidesteps and swipes at three shadows, knocking them off*

*Erik charges into shadow with end of hammer*

*Nepteros throws hammer at Shadow, it falls off cliff*

Nepteros: Look out, Erik!! *pulls out two arrows and snipes Shadow in the chest*

Erik: *hammer morphs into sword* Thanks! *cuts Shadow, kicks it into wall*

*Erik grabs Shadow by the arm, chops off Shadow's head*

*Shadow pulls Nepteros's leg up and pushes him down* Nepteros: Ungh!!

*Shadow walks up to Nepteros, grabs an arrow, pulls back on the bow's string* Nepteros: Go Erik... save everyone...

*Shadow releases string*

Erik: Nooo!!! *chops off Shadow's arms, kicks him off cliff*

Erik: There it is... better run. *runs off*

*Erik runs along path*

*Erik climbs up rock formation*

Erik: Here we are... Moria. Let's find the crystal.

Erik: *crawls along old rail* Where is it...

*Erik mines around the glow, reaches in and pulls out the amethyst* Erik: Nice... that seemed too easy though...
