I've been tearing through most of the later chapters with Agnes as arcanist/black mage combo, Tiz as spiritmaster/white mage combo, and Edea as valkyrie. I don't have anything spefic for Ringabel except the thief skills to steal from bosses.

*specific, that is. Anyway, I have Agnes either poison or put things to sleep, then hit them with the corresponding arcanist spell. Tiz uses whichever spiritmaster ability is appropriate, and Edea usually does a jump-move.

I'm doing well with Tiz as Vampire/Dark Knight: Life-or-Death on the first turn, Rage+Blood Thirst on the next, It's about 6 powerfull attacks in a row and your health full.Heps if you use Natural Talent and Gloom as passive abilities.

There's no "best" job combo, because certain jobs are really good for certain situations. I like Ninja+Valkyrie though, because it's basically cheating >:) Muahaha!

What Hanners said. Talking about a game like this, my mind just automatically interprets "best" as "favorite." My set up works for me, but others might prefer a different style.
