    Castlevania 2 is more of a Dark Souls because in Dark Souls you die you lose your souls. In Castlevania 2 you die fully, you lose all your hearts. Hearts are used as currency in Castlevania 2, Souls are currency in Dark Souls. How do you get hearts? you kill Enemies, same as Dark Souls. Castlevania 2 has more similarities to Dark Souls than Ghost and Ghouls.
