Finally unlocked the Big Walrus. Is it as over rated as I hear? Its Reload rate seems like its biggest liability, though the dive/surface rate is less than the last few subs I've unlocked. Well I guess now I get a really long wait before I unlock another sub. Boo.

    I'm level 68, and I barely use the Big Walrus. 8 seconds of torpedo inactivity makes me want to hurl. That throws off my entire rhythm in a one-on-one match.

    Customize it to your favorite battle style and snipe all the noob pinatas ad infinitum. Fix what you like least and roll with the punches. Wish u could barrel roll in a sub like in star fox.

    Personally I'm a walrus veteran, I'm really used to it but the walrus can have difficulties chasing someone down, plus if you need turn rate this sub will be an "aquired taste" if you will.

    @Dave Walrus is like a fifty call machine gun in that way. Need mucho training. May I suggest reenrolling in the Sub Wars drivers ed program to facilitate the filtering of ones thoughts towards success? Do late night duel matches (one on one only preferably) to familiarize oneself with its skills.

    Thanks for all the feed back guys. I do like the Silver Pike but it also has a 3 second reload differential and with less torpedoes it comes up more often. I've heard masking or homing torpedos can be used to mitigate the gap without devoting multiple crew to a patch but I haven't tried that yet; counting topedos used hasn't been my practice yet. I figure it is atleast worth giving it a try.

    The extra length combined with the middle of the road dive/surface seems like it will make diving to avoid fire tricky, true. I guess long range sniping is a skill that is really a must for this. Practice, practice, practice. I never heard of sub wars driveds ed and late night matches I tend to get out classed by high level japanesse players frequently, same region is usually dead in Canada.
