    Do you have the bow yet? Once you do, go back to the room before the twisted corridor, hit the eye above the door with an arrow to untwist the corridor, then get the boss key from the chest.

    There is a small key in the well, I always miss it so maybe that's it.

    Yeah, you are missing a small key. There is one in the first room of the temple (up high), one in the room straight back from the main room, and one in the well after you drain the water. :)
